Patricia Ann Fry

Patricia Ann Fry, 82, of Sioux City, IA, passed away August 23, 2022 at a care center in Waterloo, IA.  Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Patricia was born on May 10, 1940 in Sioux City, IA to James and Viola (Schleis) Chancey.  Pat worked at IPB for eight years in the 1970’s.  She retired from Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City.  She gave 44 years of her life taking care of residents and becoming long lasting friends with the families.  She enjoyed working with the other employees and made so many friendships, laughs and memories with them!  Pat loved crocheting and made hundreds of beautiful afghans for people.  She was known for making the best banana bread and there wasn’t a casino she didn’t like.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, James (Mary) Fry, Oelwein, IA; daughter, Debbie Beier, Waterloo, IA; grandchildren: Ben, Tracy, Kourtney; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Ruth) Chancey, Sioux City, IA; sister, Beverly (Robert) Morgan, Akron, OH; and extended family: Sandy, Cindy, and Eric Nguyen and parents.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
