Nicholas Hayden Lindley was born on August 2, 2006, in Salem, OR, to Paul and Wendy (Badding) Lindley. He passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the age of 19. He was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering determination.
Nicholas was a graduate of Hinton High School. His passion for sports was evident as he participated in football and wrestling during his high school years. Most recently, Nicholas was employed at Fremont Tire and was exploring new opportunities to learn sales, reflecting his entrepreneurial and hardworking spirit and desire to continuously grow.
Nicholas had a profound love for riding his motorcycle, physical fitness and martial arts, with a special affinity for MMA. He engaged in rigorous training and celebrated his achievements by winning two MMA fights. His family fondly recalls watching him fight in the cage, filled with pride for his dedication and resilience. Nicholas’s love for his family was boundless; he expressed his affection every day, often multiple times a day, emphasizing the strong bond they shared.
Nicholas is remembered for the joy he brought into every room he entered, filling it with laughter and positivity. He had an adventurous spirit, and his energetic and fun demeanor made him a beloved figure among friends and family.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, Paul and Wendy Lindley; his brothers, Garrett Lindley and Jacob Lindley, and Jacob's fiancé, Kayana Kunkel; grandma, Surge Badding; his uncle and aunt, Eric and Amy Badding; cousins, Madison, Max, Katelyn, and Kennedy Badding; his uncle and aunt, Pete and Jenn Badding; cousins, Knox, Briar, and Harlow Badding; his grandparents, Layne and Martha Lindley; his uncle and aunt, Steve and Jessica Lindly; cousin, Rhiannon (Lindley) and Joseph Earnest; and cousin, Ella Lindley. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Badding, and his aunt, Samantha Badding.
Visitation will be held at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City, IA, on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with Sharing of Memories at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home.
Nicholas leaves a remarkable imprint on the hearts of everyone he encountered, forever remembered for his love, zest for life, and the deep connections he cultivated with those he held dear. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories of his family and friends.
