Neal Olius Clemon, 72 of Olathe, KS, passed away unexpectedly March 18, 2024 from complications of pneumonia at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe. A Celebration of Life for Neal will be held at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City Friday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation at 1:00 p.m. A private burial with family will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Neal was born April 11, 1951 in Sioux City, IA, to Lyle and Eleanor (Severson) Clemon. He was a proud graduate of Leeds High School (69) enjoying many class and all-school reunions. While in Sioux City he went to WIT Community College and obtained a diploma in Electronic Communication. He then worked as a machinist and lead-man at Sioux Tools for 15 years. While working there he received an associate’s degree in Telecommunications Technology from WIT and then moved to Olathe, KS, to work in Avionics repair with Honeywell Corp for 28 years, retiring in 2016.
Neal enjoyed fishing and shopping for fishing tackle, target shooting, photography, music, sweets and building computers.
Neal is survived by his siblings, Carol Sanders (Late James Sander) of Ammon, ID; Warren (Debbie) Clemon of Sioux City, IA; and sister-in-law Diane Clemon of Newton, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gary Clemon; a niece, Julie Clemon and nephew, Matt Clemon.
