Moses Green, Jr.

  Moses Green, Jr., 64, of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, Iowa. Per his wishes, Moses will be cremated. There will be no services at this time.

  Moses was born March 12, 1959 in Lexington, Mississippi, the son of Moses Green, Sr. and Fannie Lou (Davis) Green. Moses grew up in Mississippi and attended Mississippi schools. He later attained his GED in Iowa.

  Moses was a Southern Baptist. He loved listening to his blues and playing pool at Bob’s Watering Hole. He also loved being around his family and friends.

  Throughout his life, Moses worked various jobs.

  Survivors include his wife, Susan Green; his children: Calvin, Moses Darnell, Sharon, Nathan, Priscilla, Moses James, Marcus, and Cherysh; grandchildren: Natalie, Ryly, and Ciaran; his sisters: Stacey and Edna; his brother, Reggie; step-son, Jeffrey Bailey; and step-daughter, Tina Bailey.

  He was preceded in death by his parents: Moses Green, Sr. and Fannie Lou (Davis) Green.

  Moses’ daughter Cherysh held a special place in his heart.
