Morgan was born June 23, 2001, in Papillion, Nebraska, the daughter of Jeff and Stacey (Frankl) Swick. She graduated from Ponca High School in 2019 and received her undergraduate degree at South Dakota State University in 2023. Currently, Morgan was in a Residency Program through Christ Community Church, attending Crown College to receive her master’s degree in Biblical Studies in Omaha, NE. Morgan married Caleb Harthoorn on July 15, 2022, in Sioux City.
Morgan pursued God passionately for all to see. Every person she encountered was left feeling loved and seen. Morgan cared for people so well, and they experienced God's love as she shared her heart for God and her intimate, personal relationship with Him. She loved to laugh and have fun being goofy which made everyone around her feel comfortable to be themselves and joyful about life!
Morgan enjoyed meeting with her many friends for coffee and having many impromptu dance parties. She loved meeting new people and sharing Jesus with everyone she met. Through Apartment Life, Morgan delighted in planning events, hosting people, and sharing about God through the many relationships she developed. Everyone was drawn to her joyful and optimistic spirit.
Morgan enjoyed experiencing God's creation! A few of her favorites were star gazing, hiking, sunsets, and animals of all kinds. She loved to conquer a challenge which led her to powerlifting to set personal records, wakeboarding and skiing, and teaching fitness classes to others. There wasn't anything she couldn't do once she made up her mind to accomplish it, but the most rewarding part was the relationships she would build while doing it all.
She reflected her Heavenly Father so well. The countless personal encounters she experienced with Him clearly allowed for His character to flow through her, and that is what made her life so impactful on others. Morgan lived to the fullest in every moment. Even in the many days of pain and suffering that she experienced, Morgan persevered with a tenacious strength to never give up and to seek after God whole-heartedly.
Survivors include her husband Caleb Harthoorn of Omaha; parents Jeff and Stacey Swick of Ponca; siblings: Ethan (Hannah) Swick of Ozark, MO, Alyssa Swick and Lexi Swick both of Ponca; parents-in-law Corey and Sharon Harthoorn of Norfolk; maternal grandparents Tim (Darlene) Frankl of Sioux City; paternal grandparents Melvin (Suzanne) Swick Jr. of Dixon, NE; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
