Michelle "Shellie" Lynn Martin

Michelle “Shellie” Lynn (Mandicino) Martin, 55 of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at her home of natural causes. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 5, 2026 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Shellie was born the daughter of James and Diane (Newton) Mandicino Jr. on March 8, 1970 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from North High School in 1988. Shellie married Ben Martin on September 14, 2002. Together they raised two sons, Tyler and Brody.

Shellie worked for several companies over the years including MCI, Gateway, Beef Products, and most recently, Tyson Foods.

Shellie liked to cook, and spend time in their pool. She truly loved her two dogs, Jake and Jessie.

Shellie is survived by her husband, Ben Martin; sons, Tyler (Kristi) Wilhelm and Brody Martin; mother, Diane Mandicino; brothers, Jim Mandicino, and Jeff (Sherri) Mandicino; sister, Annette Bosse; sisters-in-law, Cheri Martin, Cynthia (Juan) Martinez; brothers-in-law, Randy and Greg (Diane) Martin; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Mandicino Jr.; grandparents, James and Elma Mandicino Sr. and Clyde and Evelyn Newton; brother-in-law, Dale Bosse; father and mother-in-law, Dick and Judy Morley; nephew, Dominick James Mandicino; and her beloved dog, Shadow.
