Michael D. Taylor

Michael D. Taylor, 69 of Sioux City passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023. A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mike was born the son of Jerry and Peggy (Collins) Taylor on December 6, 1953 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from North High School in Sioux City in 1973. Mike married Jacalyn Eddington in 1973. To this union a son, Travis was born. He later married Marilyn Peterson on January 12, 1989. Marilyn passed away in 2016.

Mike owned and operated M&M Carpet Cleaning and then a few local bars after that.

He enjoyed playing and singing music in his bars and watching NASCAR. In his youth, he was a great baseball player. He is a huge Chicago White Sox fan.

Mike is survived by his son, Travis (Tony) Taylor of Omaha; sister, Gayle Taylor of Sioux City; and uncle, Jerry (Sharon) Collins of South Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marilyn.
