Michael E. Buchite

Michael Elwood Buchite, 77, of Whiting, IA passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, IA.

Cremation will take place and no services are planned.  Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City is handling arrangements.

Michael, the son of Hugh and Lil (Chenevert) Buchite, was born February 26, 1944 in Crosby, MN.  Mike grew up in the Fifty Lakes, MN area and he attended high school in Pine River.  For most of his working years, Mike was a truck driver.

Mike was united in marriage to Joyce Janssen and three daughters were born to this union.  Mike and Joyce later divorced.

Throughout the years, Mike enjoyed fishing, sightseeing, riding his motorcycle and tinkering in his shop.

He is survived by three daughters: Sandy (Rex) Muggli, Michelle (Scott) Sjolund and Teffany (Vern) Lewis; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; four siblings: Harvey (Arlene), Allan (Carol), Ardith (Ben) and Neal; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Joyce; and five siblings: Hugh Jr., Alred, Morris, Willard and Ronnie.
