Merrill E. Comstock

Merrill E. Comstock, 92, of Whiting, IA passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at an Onawa care center. A celebration of Merrill’s remarkable life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Onawa. Nelson Berger Northside Chapel assisted family with arrangements. 

 Our beloved Merrill Comstock fell asleep in death on June 13th, 2024. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a devoted husband to his "sweetheart" Claudia Comstock. A wonderful father to his children Karen, Vicki, Steven, Mark, & stepchildren Dennise & Melinda. Merrill was a loving grandpa to his grandchildren & loved to spend time with them. We all have special memories of our Merrill. 

 He was an example of kindness and generosity to all. Always willing to help others. He loved tinkering in the garage, fixing cars and working with his hands. Often fixing what was broken or inventing something new. 

 He would get a twinkle in his eye when he was about to tell you something funny. We will all miss that twinkle and his smile.

 He has a long record of faith with his God Jehovah. He was never missing from the Kingdom Hall meetings. Merrill was a source of encouragement to all who knew him. He was convinced of Jehovah's promise of a future paradise earth where he would live again. We long to see Merrill there!
