Mary J. Cooper, 75 of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at a local long-term care facility. No public services will be held at this time. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Mary was born on August 23, 1946 in Akron, Iowa to Floyd and Marie Heider. On November 26, 1966 she married Kit Cooper at Blessed Sacrament Church in Sioux City.
She is survived by her son, Darid Cooper (Jennifer); daughter, Kerri Morfitt (Ron); brother, Conrad Heider (Jane); sisters, Kathleen Heider and Margaret Moon (Richard); and grandchildren: Zach, Hannah, Max and Lily.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Marie; husband, Kit Cooper; son, Colin Cooper; and sister, Shirley Utech.
