Marvin L. Pansegrau, 91 of Bronson passed away Monday, November 3, 2025. A funeral service will be 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Sunnybrook Community Church. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 10, 2025 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.
Marvin was born the son of Adolf and Ruth (Barker) Pansegrau on June 4, 1934 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Bronson High School in 1952 and then earned a Master’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Iowa. Marvin honorably served his country in the United States Army where he was with the first Army medical research laboratories in New York City. After his military service he moved to Sioux City. Marvin married Anita Jansma on April 11, 1964 in Le Mars, Iowa. Anita passed away in 1984.
Marvin worked for St. Joseph, Marian Health, and Mercy Laboratories for 38 years. He retired and bought farmland in Bronson. He worked the land until his passing.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He caught many large fish in Canada and at Gavins Point Dam. He hunted ducks, geese, and pheasant in Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska.
Marvin is survived by his children, Kim (Michele) Pansegrau and Kathy Pansegrau; granddaughters, Elizabeth, Lauren, and Meredith; brother, Don Pansegrau; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anita; brother, Duane Pansegrau and his wife, Cynthia; and sister-in-law, Sue Pansegrau.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Sunnybrook Community Church.
