Martha A. Bostinelos

Martha A. Bostinelos, 71 of Sioux City passed away surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 7, 2023.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the church.  Burial will be Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Graceland Park Cemetery.   

Martha was born the daughter of Stelio and Sophia (Davelis) Katsis on September 19, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa.  She graduated from Central High School in 1970.  She was united in marriage to the love of her life, John Bostinelos on June 23, 1973 in Sioux City.  Martha began her career at St. Vincent Hospital before staying at home to raise her son, Dimitri.  She later went on to work for Siouxland Internal Medicine until her retirement. 

Martha (Marti) loved animals, music, and was known for her sense of style.  She was also a phenomenal cook who loved making Greek food.  But her true passion was her family and friends.  She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and holidays and always offered help in any way she could to those who needed it.  She had a big heart and was known to use the term of endearment "Dolly" to those she felt close to.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Dimitri (Michelle) Bostinelos of Sioux City; step daughters, Cindy (Steve) Wood of Phoenix, AZ, Tena (Adam) Wensman of Minneapolis, MN, and Penelope (Tom) Craft of Lane, KS; 7 grandchildren; siblings; Elaine Carlson, Tom Katsis, Angela Campbell, Alexandra Katsis, and twin sister Mary Baltzell; several nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Tony Bostinelos.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and grandson, Zachariah Wensman.
