Marshall Blaine Geveshausen, Jr.

Marshall Blaine Geveshausen, Jr., 56, of Dakota City, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022.  A memorial visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.  

Marshall was born the son of Marshall and Norma Jean (Roost) Geveshausen, Sr. on January 14, 1966 in Sioux City, Iowa.  He was raised on the family farm in Dakota City and attended school in Homer.

His various occupations included seasonal farm work, trucking, and working at Feed Energy – but Marshall’s true passion was buying and selling cars, motorcycles, and an occasional RV; which he, Cheni, and Tasiah enjoyed many scenic adventures across the country.

He also enjoyed attending local auctions, searching for those rare finds and riding his motorcycle with friends and his beloved shepherd, Tasiah along with him in the sidecar.  Give Tasiah hugs and kisses from me.

Marshall lived his life with an open, generous heart.  He was very giving of his time, talents, and resources and could always be counted on to help anyone in need.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Cheni Geveshausen; mother, Norma Jean Geveshausen; brother, Brad Geveshausen; birth parents, Mary Jo Mayberry and Arnie (Cheri) Ellingson; nieces, Josie and Julie Geveshausen; extended family and many close friends; and special friend, Leanne Steensen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Geveshausen, Sr. and sister, Marsha Mayberry.
