Obituary

Marsha R. Scholl, 69, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2026, at a Sioux City hospital.

Born August 31, 1956, in Manning, IA. Marsha was the daughter of Raymond and Lois (Fedderson) Maguire. She grew up in rural Ida Grove, IA and graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1974. After high school, she attended Iowa Lakes Community College, where she received a degree in horticulture. On April 22, 1977, she married her best friend and love of her life, Jerry Scholl. To this union of marriage, they brought 2 daughters into the world, Kara and Heather.

Marsha worked at Michaels Garden Center as an intern in college and stayed on after she graduated. She later worked at Dennings Florist and Flowerland. After her love of working in the florist business, she decided she wanted to be home more with her girls, so she started working for the Sgt. Bluff Luton School district. She worked as a librarian for 26 years. Marsha had a love for kids and helping her community. She was a 4-H leader for several years and superintendent of the Horticulture Department at the Woodbury Count Fair, volunteered with Mayors Youth Commission, as well as 25 years with the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Sgt. Bluff where she was actively President.

Marsha had a love for baking and crafting. She was known for all her Christmas candy and sweet treats. She absolutely cherished her time as her favorite title of Nana. She loved spending all the time she could with her precious granddaughter, Addison.

Marsha was preceded in death by her daughter, Kara Scholl; parents, Ray and Lois Magurie; parents-in-law, Lawarence (Bing) and Elsie Scholl; brother-in-law, Frank Drevs
