Marion R. Brown-Pinkelman, 68 of Jackson, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place and no local services will be held.
Marion was born the daughter of Jep Brown and Ruth Olson Brown on September 21, 1955 in Uvalde, Texas. She grew up in Pennsylvania with her mother and stepfather, John Nies, and graduated from Clearfield High School. She attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh and Wayne State College. Marion married Daniel Pinkelman on September 21, 1985 in South Sioux City. They made their home in the woods outside of Jackson, Nebraska.
Marion enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, playing instruments, games, bowling, shooting pool and golfing. She was an avid reader who was knowledgeable on a vast array of topics, including a love for geology, archeology, astronomy and music. She was a kid at heart always up for wanting to go on a merry go round or swing. She loved nature and animals, especially her pets. Marion was loved by many close friends over the years. She liked to travel with Dan to visit family in Pennsylvania and her son and grandchildren in Arizona. They also made several trips to Mexico.
Marion is survived by her husband, Dan Pinkelman of Jackson, NE; son, Ian (Kelly) Brown of Prescott Valley, AZ; brother, Clemeth Brown of Sioux City, IA; and grandchildren, Aspen and Oakley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, John Nies; and sister, Nancy.
