Marilyn J. Cooper

Marilyn J. Cooper, 64, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away November 13, 2022 at a local hospital.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19^th at 11:00 a.m. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home with a visitation 1 hour prior.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Marilyn was born on June 4, 1958 in Sioux City, IA to Lowell and Julia (McCue) Derby.  She graduated from high school and was married to Cecil “Sonny” Cooper for over 36 years.  To this union they had 2 children.  Marilyn began her career at Mercy Medical as a Telemetry Tech where she just celebrated her 20 year anniversary.  She enjoyed watching horror movies, traveling, especially to San Francisco, watching the seagulls, and cooking her famous scallop potatoes.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Travis and Lindsy Cooper, both of South Sioux, NE and grandson, Darius; siblings: Karen and Sharon Derby, Freddy Derby, Rene McCoy and Jessie White; and former husband, Sonny Cooper.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Larry, Mary Lou, Susie and Goldie.
