  Marilyn Elaine Blom, 81, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at her residence surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Randy Rasmussen will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. 

  Marilyn was born on August 13, 1942 in Clearbrook, Minnesota, to Roy and Esther Lindom. She married Terry Blom in October of 1999, and the two shared nearly 25 years of marriage before Marilyn passed.

  She lived most of her adult life in Sioux City, where she volunteered in several capacities. In particular, she loved volunteering at the hospital in the NICU. She also immersed herself in her church family, where she spent years serving on various committees, was a part of the church choir, and served as a Sunday School Supervisor.

  In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, decorating for holidays (especially Christmas), gardening, and taking care of her tulips.

  Survivors include her husband, Terry Blom; her daughter, Kathy Workman; her son, Chris Petersen (Marcia); step-daughters: Tara Leuci (David) and Lori Mattingly; grandchildren: AJ, Brittany, Krista, Rachel, Tara, Charlie, Alex, Danika, and Jaycie.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Clayton and Robert Lindom; and a grandson, Dominic.
