Marian B. (Evans) Buck, 89, of Cambridge, IA, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Accura Healthcare of Ames. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lyons Cemetery.
Marian was born on October 21, 1936, in Revis, Virginia, to Morton B. Evans and Bertha (Smithers) Evans. She grew up in Revis, and attended Middlesex High School. On June 25, 1955, Marian married Darrell Buck while he was serving in the Navy in Newport News, Virginia. Together, they built a wonderful life raising their family in the South Sioux City/Sioux City area.
She went on to work at Roe Dairy, Johnson Biscuit, Younkers and various retail stores.
She was a member of Community of Christ Church in Ames and a former member of the Eastern Star Silver Chapter.
She is survived by her four children, Brenda Benson, Gary (Julie) Buck, Pam Tinta, and Mechelle (Keith) Offerman; seven grandchildren, Shane (Brinley) Buck, Jaime (Chris) Neer, Callie Buck (fiancé Evan Figg), Michael (Amber) Tinta, Brandon (Nicole) Tinta, Ashley Tinta, and Michael Offerman; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dee McCarthy, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell, of 58 years; parents, Morton and Bertha Evans; three brothers, Courtney Revis Evans in infancy, Morton B. Evans Jr., and Billy T. Evans; and sister, Jessie Lee Williams; father and mother-in-law, Lester and Mildred Buck; brothers-in-law, Wilmer Malcom and George “Ed” McCarthy; and sister-in-law, Trudi Malcom.
