Maria Magana-De Garcia, was born in La Quemada Municipality, Puruandiro, Michoacan, Mexico on September 12, 1948, and she was the daughter of Agustin Magana-Perez and Maria Ibarra Monzon. Maria had 13 siblings: Apolonia, Jesus, Filomena, Teresa, Casimiro, Maria Luisa, Maria Guadalupe, Jose, Jose Guadalupe, Angel, Agustina Eugenio and Maria Salud. Today, Jose, Jose Guadalupe and Angel remain.

 

She passed away on February 25, 2024 in Sioux City, IA.

 

Maria married Jose Garcia Quezada on October 25, 1969. From that union six children were born: Raul, Luis, Gerardo, Juventino, Claudia, and Maria del Carmen Garcia Magana.

 

Maria enjoyed being a homemaker, wife and above all, she enjoyed her family and especially her 13 grandchildren.

Hoy, Jose, Jose Guadalupe and Angel vive. 

 

Ella falleció el 25 de Febrero de 2024 en Sioux City, IA.

Maria se casó con Jose Garcia Quezada el 25 de Octubre del 1969. De esa unión nacieron seis hijos: Raul, Luis, Gerardo, Juventino, Claudia, and Maria del Carmen Garcia Magana.
 
 Maria disfrutaba ser una ama de casa, esposa y   sobre todo, disfrutaba su familia y especialmente sus 13 nietos.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska with Father Michael Keating as Celebrant.  Burial will follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation, with the family present, will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, Nebraska with a Rosary Service beginning at 5:45 p.m. and a Vigil following at 6:00 p.m.
