Margaret Farley Hustrulid

Margaret Farley Hustrulid, 95, passed away November 14, 2023, in Sioux City Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 20, 2023 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Beresford, South Dakota at 10:30 AM.

Marge was the youngest of three daughters born to William and Anna Buthala on September 29, 1928, in Yankton, SD. She was raised on the farm and attended school in the Beresford area, graduating from Beresford High School.

Marge married Dale Farley June 25, 1947. To this union seven children were born: Thomas, Leann, Patricia, Daniel, Susan, Dean and William.

Marge and Dale raised their family on the farm southeast of Beresford. They were life-long Catholics.  They enjoyed going square dancing, cutting the rug with the jitterbug and two step. Marge enjoyed playing card and board games with family and friends and was considered a fierce competitor.

Dale passed away on September 28, 1978. Several years later Marge married Wayne Hustrulid. They farmed near Beresford. They enjoyed movies, traveling and became snowbirds spending winters in Mission, Texas.

Marge will be remembered as a fabulous cook, seamstress and consummate farm wife, but mostly as our Mom.

She will be held in the hearts of many including:

Children: Thomas (Linda) Farley, Leann (James) DeWitt, Patricia (Randy) Domeyer, Daniel Farley, Susan (Paul) Morgensen, Dean Farley and Jolene (Farley) Weineke

Grandchildren: Chris, Sherri, Holly, Randi, Lisa. Tracie, Ryan, Sara, Andy, Melissa, Katie, Jeffrey, Tyler, Dale, Abigale, Jessica, Danielle and Malia.

Great Grandchildren: Shelby, Mykenzie, Emma, Calli, Kody, Kade, Autumn, Caitlin, Owen, Mitchel, Shannon, Peyton, Riley, Danielle, Kelcey, Casey, Haley, Mavity, Maguire, Griffin, Christian, Kirsten, Ryan, Seth, Owen, Jackson, Quentin, Elise, Tariku, Zoey, Ezera and Holly.

Great Great Grandchildren: Lane, Max, Aubri, Easton and Brianna

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Marion Fait and Florence Salisbury, Husband Dale Farley, Son William Farley, Grandchild Jeremy Olson and Husband Wayne Hustrulid.
