Marcia M. Giffrow, 91, formerly Sioux city, Iowa died on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Rock Creek Senior Living in Ankeny, Iowa.

At her request, there will be no services. Meyer Brothers is assisting with arrangements.

Mrs. Giffrow was born in Waseca, Minnesota on September 8, 1934, to Richard and Elizabeth (Rath) Matz. Marcia and her family moved to Merrill, Iowa, in 1944. She attended and graduated from Liberty Consolidated School in 1952 and married Fred L. Giffrow on November 18, 1953, at Merrill, Iowa. Mr. Giffrow died March 28, 1987. Mrs. Giffrow and boys operated ROYAL IRON COMPANY for many years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors are two sons, Darwin & his wife Sandra of Ankeny, Iowa and Rusty & his wife Donna of Bennington, Nebraska, 4 grandchildren, James, Elizabeth, Matthew (Heather) and Daniel Giffrow; two great grandsons, Tyler and Nathaniel; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and stepfather, Kenneth C. Grey; one brother Richard Matz, and two sisters: Sheila Mehrer and Rachel Starr.
