Lynne Kinsey

Lynne Kinsey, 66, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away May 6, 2023 at a local hospital.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Lynne was born on June 25, 1956 in Sioux City, IA to Russell and Beverly (Downey) Walters Sr.  She was raised by her father and stepmother, Barbara from the age of 7.  She graduated from Kingsley high school in 1975 and was united in marriage to George Kinsey Sr. on December 13, 1976.  He preceded her in death in 2010.  Lynne enjoyed gardening, her flowers, being outside in nature, fishing, sitting in her swing and crafting.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her sons: Dustin Kinsey, South Sioux City, NE and George (Mary Ann) Kinsey Jr., Lennox, SD; granddaughters: Alexys and Alyson Kinsey; siblings: Doug (Laurie) Walters, IA, Rusty (Julie) Walters, MN, Tami (Ron Harter) Thompson, NE, Cindy (Wendell) Brown, IA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, stepmom, Barbara and a brother, Guy Walters.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center, Mercy Ambulatory Nurses, and the exceptional Comfort Care Team on the St. Luke’s Oncology floor, for all of the wonderful care they gave Lynne.
