February 13, 1952 — October 31, 2023

Sioux City, Iowa

Louise “Wheat” Annette King, 71, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Louise was born February 13, 1952, to Esa Rodriguez and Catherine Walding (Robert Walding).  She was a graduate of Bishop Heelan High School in Sioux City.

Louise entered into holy matrimony on September 10, 1976, to Ronald King at St. Michael’s Church in Sioux City, IA.  They had three children: Cathy, Christopher (Brandi Reed), and Timothy.  They also had seven grandchildren: Nicolas, Paige, Morgan, Brenden, Katie, Connor, & Breckin.  She was dearly loved by all her children and grandchildren.

Wheat was one of the most supportive individuals anyone could know.  She had an unconditional love for all her children and grandkids.

If you knew her, you also knew good food.  One of everyone’s favorites was her tamales.  She made many memories with everyone through her cooking and sharing her food.

Wheat is survived by her sister Jean.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers (Jim and Dan).

She will be missed by many and continued to be loved.
