Louise May Copple

Louise May Copple, 89, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at a local hospital.

Louise was born September 27, 1933 in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Clara (Funk) Carlson.  She married Lyle S. Copple and together the couple owned and operated the Sundown Lounge in South Sioux City, Nebraska.  Louise was an avid quilter and also loved her cats.

Survivors include her sons:  Lyle G.S. Copple of Sioux City, Scott and his wife Hollie Copple of Sioux City, and her three grandchildren:  Andrew Copple of Sioux City, Spencer Copple of Vermillion, SD, and Emily Copple who is currently attending the University of Iowa. 

Louise was preceded in death by her parents Edward Kurtis and Clara Carlson, her husband Lyle S. Copple, and her daughter Cathy Copple-Foxhoven.
