Lorna I. Luse

Lorna I. Luse, 71 of Sioux City passed away Friday, October 4, 2024. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery in Moville. 

Lorna was born the daughter of Russell and Louise (Creekmore) Griep on March 1, 1953 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Moville High School in 1971. Lorna married Michael A. Luse on May 29, 1976. They enjoyed 48 years together. 

Lorna worked at Mercy Medical Center for 47 years until her retirement in 2021.

Lorna was a diehard Husker fan and longtime season ticket holder. She loved going to home games with her son. She enjoyed traveling with Mike as they rode motorcycle across the U.S. and Canada. She was also a phenomenal cook, especially her pies. 

Lorna is survived by her husband, Mike Luse of Sioux City; brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Christopher; and brother, Ron.
