Obituary

Logan Robert Carlton Grenko, age 32, passed away July 8, 2026.

Logan was born November 8, 1993, to Richard Grenko and Nomi Vos. He attended Hinton public schools, played football and ran track. He spent countless hours in his youth golfing with his dad and siblings, hiking and rafting on family trips in Colorado, and traveling with his large, extended family on many vacations.

He was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan and Packer’s stockholder. Every Packer game was a family event, and he was the loudest cheerleader. After graduating from Hinton, he worked a variety of jobs, primarily in the hospitality industry. After high school he lived in Omaha, San Diego and Denver as well as the Sioux City area. He finally settled on becoming a licensed electrician in Sioux City and was working towards his apprenticeship.

Logan was a kind and gentle soul. He was smart and introspective, probably too much so for his own good. He met people where they were, would help without question, and worked hard his whole life.

Logan loved his parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews with all his heart, but couldn’t find a way to love himself or in the end let any of us help him.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Richard Grenko and Lynette Meyer, and Russ Vos. His siblings, Haley and Jordan Barr, Rachel and Mark Kessler, MacKenzie and Joseph Hicklin, Kyla and Robbie McGill, Kip Vos, Cael Vos, Alex and Jordan Vos, Laura Beecher, and Megan Beecher. Nieces and nephews Lilliana Grenko, Hudson and Bode Vos, Wren and Jack Hicklin. His grandparents Carol Grenko, Lynn and Diane Riedesel, June Vos, and Bonnie Kingsley along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nomi Vos, and grandfathers Robert Grenko and Leroy Vos.

His celebration of life will be held on his birthday, November 8, 2026, from 1-3 pm at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel 3220 Stone Park Blvd Sioux City, IA 51104. The last 30 minutes of the celebration will have selected individuals share their memories of Logan and conclude with some words by his father.

A private burial service will take place on November 9, 2026, in Logan Park Cemetery.

In lieu of gifts or flowers please donate to a suicide prevention organization or plant a tree in his memory.
