Lisa Marie Porsch, 65, passed away at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha on Monday, June 1, 2026, after a sudden illness. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, IA 51106, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lisa was born on March 7, 1961, to LeRoy and Helen (Roth) Koser in Sioux City, IA. Lisa attended St. Michael's elementary school and graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in 1979. She continued her education at Western Iowa Tech, where she earned an associate's degree in retail sales and marketing management. She spent seven years working at Standard Office Equipment, and for 25 years, she served as an administrative assistant for the Sioux City School District.
On April 24, 1981, Lisa was united in marriage to Randy Porsch at St. Michael’s Church in Sioux City. Their love spanned 45 years and was blessed with two sons. Together, they built a beautiful family filled with love and laughter.
To those who knew her, Lisa was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was known for her warm hospitality—never arriving anywhere empty-handed and always had food ready for any occasion. She loved shopping for Christmas gifts for her seven grandchildren and was never shy about trying her luck at the Hardrock Casino or the slot machines in Deadwood, SD.
She loved watching her children excel in their sports and enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, boating, and playing on the beach. Winter vacations in Florida were a cherished tradition, as were her summer weekends spent in Platte Creek, SD, along the Missouri River. Over 25 years, she found great joy driving her golf cart and soaking in the sun with an iced tea in her hand.
Lisa is survived by her husband Randy, her two sons: Chad (Alicia) and Eric (Alicia); her grandchildren Brayden and Peyton, Sophia, Cecilia, Charles, Eloise, and Clara; siblings: Bev (Brian) O'Hara, Judy Cheever, and Jim Koser; mother-in-law, Bonnie Porsch; nephews: Brent, Brad, and Nate; and nieces: Jenny, Sarah, Karissa, and their families.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Helen (Roth) Koser; father-in-law, Tom Porsch; brother-in-law, Brad Porsch; sister-in-law, Joan Koser; as well as numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
