Linda Kaye Puckett

Linda Kaye Puckett, 80 of Dakota Dunes, SD passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in Kansas City on Saturday, September 21st at 2:00 pm at the Lake Waukomis Community Building, 1147 NW South Shore Dr, 64151.

 Linda was born the daughter of Kenneth and Augusta Jeanne (Jackson) Gulick on April 5, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri. Linda married Don Puckett on July 31, 1971, in Kansas City, MO. They moved to Sioux City, IA in 1979. Linda worked at Clark and Webster schools as an aid and lunch lady for several years, but her favorite job was being mom to her large family. 

Linda loved to travel with her family and spent winters in Arizona with Don. She liked to load up the kids in the van and take local road trips. She was an accomplished bowler, participating in several leagues. She was a huge KC Chiefs fan, a member of the Ladies Coffee Club, and a past performer in several productions at the Sioux City Community Theatre.

Linda is survived by her husband, Don Puckett and her children, Amy (Don) McKinzie, Robin (Jim) Banes, Dan Puckett, Brian (Dawn Wolff) Puckett, and Joy (Chris) Wiest; grandchildren, Bradley, Brett, Jessica, Stephanie, Justin, Kyle, Aaron, Harrison, Abigail, Isabella, Alexis, and Jakob; and great-grandchildren, Owen, Harper, August, and Markus. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Gulick.
