Linda J. Johnson, 72, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away June 17, 2022 at a local hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 25th from 11:00 -2:00 p.m. at Church of Christ, 2111 West 6th St. in Sioux City. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family. Linda was born on April 21, 1950 in Sioux City, IA to John and Joyce (Winn) Hunter. She was united in marriage to Robert Johnson on March 4, 1967 in Dakota City, NE. They spent many wonderful years together. Linda and Robert lived in Midland, TX before moving to South Sioux City 10 years ago. Linda enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, cooking, listening to music and watching old movies and British T.V. shows. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were extremely important to her. She was a member of Church of Christ Church in Texas and in Iowa. Linda was a very strong woman who was a fighter throughout her illness.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Robert Johnson, South Sioux City, NE; children: Gerald Robert (Raquel) McAllen, TX, Tracy “Tissy Lish” (Eric) Reed, Sioux City, IA, John Robert, Midland, TX, Jacob Robert, Sioux City, IA; grandchildren: Jennifer Ramirez, Courtney Sherrill, Gerald Ramirez-Johnson, Matthew Reed, and Jordan Robert Johnson; great grandchildren: Hudson and Harrison Sherrill, Ethan Ramirez, and one pending great-grandchild; sisters: Sandra Hunter, Sioux Falls, SD, and Connie Mason, Amarillo, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
