Lila L. Martensen

Lila L. Martensen, 86, of Sioux City, IA, passed away March 7, 2023.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Lila was born on September 21, 1936 in Sioux City, IA to Milford and Alice (Barnes) Menard.  She attended Woodrow Wilson High School and lived in Sioux City most of her life.  She was united in marriage to Kenneth Martensen on June 28, 1978 in Dakota City, NE.  He preceded her in death in 2006.  Lila enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, playing cards, solitaire, going to garage sales and watching movies.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters: Monica (Todd) Burkhart and Shelley (Scott) Gillis.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband;  daughters: Rhonda Knapp and Valerie (Lonnie) Thornton; and several brothers and sisters.
