LiChelle E. "Shelly" Youngberg

November 27, 1966 — October 4, 2020

LiChelle E. “Shelly” Youngberg, 53, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 after a lengthy illness.  Visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at New Hope Community Church, 1817 Riverside Blvd, Sioux City, IA 51109.  A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the church.  Burial will be at a later date at Omaha Valley Cemetery.  

LiChelle was born the daughter of Everett and Ellen (McGhee) Krause on November 27, 1966 in Pender, Nebraska.  She graduated from Winnebago High School and later Wayne State College with a degree in music education.  LiChelle married Adam Youngberg on April 26, 1997 in Sioux City, Iowa.

LiChelle taught band and choir for five years before joining her sister in real estate.  She loved being a teacher and that didn’t stop when she transitioned to real estate as she taught continuing education and licensing classes for years.   

She enjoyed being active, playing volleyball and doing Zumba for many years.  She loved music.  She was active for years playing the clarinet in the Municipal Band and All America Band and also served as music director for local theatre productions. 

LiChelle is survived by her husband, Adam Youngberg of Sioux City; children, Noah (Cora) Youngberg of Vermillion, South Dakota and Dani Youngberg of Sioux City; mother, Ellen Krause of Winnebago, Nebraska; siblings, LeAndra (James Omlid) Corbett, Lynn (Su) Krause, Rod (Lori) Krause, Lori (Dave) Kinning, and Todd (Triece) Krause; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Everett.
