Leslie (Les) M. Crum

Leslie (Les) M. Crum, 84 of Vermillion, SD passed away June 22, 2023.  Burial will be at a later date with family present.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com

Les was born on December 8, 1938 in Danbury Iowa, to Robert and Florence (Douglas) Crum. Les graduated from Jefferson High School in 1957.  Les married Karen Porter on January 19, 1959.  The two had two sons together, Noah and Edwin Crum.  They later divorced. 

Les later married Marlene Schmidt on October 19, 1985.  Les and Marlene lived in North Sioux City, South Dakota and were married until her passing in 2021.  Les worked at Connie’s Truck Stop in North Sioux City, South Dakota for many years.  Les enjoyed word finds and putting together puzzles in his spare time. 

Les is survived by his son, Edwin Crum of North Sioux City, South Dakota. His brother Randy (Carri) Crum of Vermillion, South Dakota.

Grandchildren, Richard (Amanda) Crum, of Colorado Springs, Colorado., Collin (Kelsey) Crum of North Sioux City, South Dakota.  Cassie Crum of Early, Iowa, Brandy (Patrick) Kracke of Fredonia, North Dakota, Justin Crum of Sac City, Iowa , Lacie Rench of Sac City, Iowa and Ozzy Crum of Early Iowa. Along with several great grandchildren and one great great grandson. 

Nephew’s, Chris (Lisa) Crum of Pierson, Iowa, and Kelton Crum of Vermillion, SD.  Nieces, Cynthia (Michael) Foxhoven of Sioux City, Reyana and Audrena Crum of Vermillion, SD. 

Les is preceded into death by his wife Marlene, grandparents, parents Robert and Florence, son Noah, Brother Donald, and sister-in-law Mary Crum.
