A visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, January 20th at 10:00 a.m. with an hour of visitation prior at the Cathedral of the Epiphany Catholic Church in Sioux City with Father Jerermy Wind as Celebrant. Abiding by family wishes, cremation will follow and interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for designation of a memorial in Leonardo’s name to be determined at a later date.
Leonardo was a vibrant, loyal, and genuine soul who brought energy and light wherever he went. He was known as the life of the party—always dancing, laughing, and making memories with those around him. He loved spending time with his friends, playing video games, wrestling, boxing, skateboarding, exploring new places, trying new foods, dancing, freestyling, and he had a natural artistic talent. Everywhere he went Leo made sure to show up in a fly fit. He always had an eye for fashion.
Leonardo especially cherished being an uncle to his nephew Emiliano and niece Esme, a role that brought him great joy and pride. Another accomplishment Leonardo was proud of was learning to drive a manual, being a car mechanic, and finishing GTA 5.
Leonardo was an amazing brother, son, cousin, nephew, boyfriend and friend. Leonardo was always there for his family and knew how to cheer up those close to him.
He is survived by his father and mother Fernando and Areli Moctezuma, and his siblings, Yaire, Alex, Ileana, Darian, Azeneth, and Everardo Moctezuma and Anthony Juárez. Along with his favorite girl Kiana Orozco.
Leonardo will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him.
His spirit, laughter, and unforgettable presence will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he continue to get litty in the afterlife as he did here.
