After a brief illness, Leo Bousquet, 82, of South Sioux City, NE passed peacefully on Easter Sunday surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13 at 10:30 A.M. at Saint Michael’s Church in South Sioux City followed by burial at Saint Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a vigil at 7:00 P.M. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.
Leo and Glenda ran a successful business, Bousquet Carpet, and served the community for more than 40 years. He served in the Army National Guard for six years earning a State Service Award and a sharpshooter badge.
Leo is survived by his daughter, Julie Beatty, and her husband, Mike Beatty; his son, Don Christian; siblings, Butch and his wife, Kathy Bousquet, Jeanne and her husband, John Davis, Donna and her husband, Kevin Donoghue, and Dan Bousquet; grandson, Christopher Christian, and his wife, Mikayla Mullally and their daughter, Mya; grandson, Jackson Beatty and granddaughter, Nicole Beatty.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Bousquet and his parents, Roland and Margaret Bousquet.
