Lenore's professional journey began as a dedicated first-grade teacher at Franklin Elementary School, where she inspired countless young minds. Her commitment to education led her to further her studies, culminating in a Master's degree from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Following her advanced education, she took on the vital role of junior high counselor at East Junior High and subsequently at West Junior High Schools, where her influence extended beyond the classroom.

Throughout her life, education was not merely a career but a cornerstone of her identity. Lenore was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, an education sorority.
