Obituary

Lenore E. Hageman, 94 of Hinton passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026. A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, May 29, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Hinton. Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Lenore was born the daughter of Alfred M. and Clara M. (Petersen) Larsen on April 26, 1932 in Lake City, Iowa. She was raised in Charter Oak and Cherokee. Lenore graduated from Wilson High School in 1950. She married Stanley H. Hageman on November 26, 1955 at First Methodist Church in Cherokee. Following marriage she was a farmer’s wife. They lived in rural Hinton and Kingsley before moving into Hinton in 1983. Stanley passed away in 2010.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Hinton and Miriam Circle. She served as secretary for the church and also the American Legion Auxiliary for many years.

She worked at HER Publications. She also worked at several other Siouxland businesses. She later retired in 1997 from the Woodbury County Extension Office.

She enjoyed reading, baking and bowling. She also liked card and board games.

Lenore is survived by her children, Luann (Pat) Kafer, Ron (Carol) Hageman, Mike (Michele) Hageman, Doug (Stephanie) Hageman, Bill (Kerri) Hageman; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandson; sister, Natalie Larson; and nephew, Greg (Kelly) Larson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; and brother-in-law, Larry Larson.
