Larry Alan Wold, 64 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Friday, March 22, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at East Nidaros Lutheran Church, Baltic, South Dakota.
Larry was born the son of Oscar and Bernus (Noman) Wold on August 28, 1959 in Baltic, South Dakota. He graduated from Baltic High School in 1978. Larry married Lori (Steffen) Wendt, November 9,1985. To this union two sons were born, Jordan and Cody. In his younger years he enjoyed working as a farmhand and driving tractors. He was able to do anything he put his mind to. He attended Pipestone Votech for auto mechanics. He also attended Sioux Falls College and Concordia College for Theology. Later in life he worked as a CNA and private caregiver and also an X-ray Technician before his retirement. Larry lived in Minneapolis for 15 years before moving to Sioux City.
In his spare time, Larry enjoyed working on cars and watching Twins baseball. He was very easy going and had a great sense of humor. He loved the Lord.
Larry is survived by his sons, Jordan (Justice) Wold and Cody Wold of Sioux Falls; grandson, Dalan Christman; siblings, James Wold, Sharon (Ernie) Hicks of Mapleton, Iowa, and Linda Brekke of Sioux Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lyle Wold and Ellen Brobjorg.
