Lake L. Larson passed away on August 26, 2025, in Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of 50.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 P.M. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior at the funeral home.
Lake was born on June 22, 1975, in Sioux City, the son of Ronald and Sharen (Comstock) Larson.
A proud graduate of West High School, Lake’s leadership qualities shone through when he was crowned Homecoming King in 1993. He continued his education at Iowa State University. Lake had a successful career as a machinist at Omaha Line (Prince Manufacturing) for more than 20 years. He married Brandice Bliek in 2008 in Sioux City. To this union, their son Kale was born. The couple later divorced.
He had a variety of interests that brought joy both to him and those around him. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, bowling, camping, and playing softball and baseball. These hobbies reflected his vibrant spirit and desire for adventure, and he loved sharing these experiences with family and friends.
Above all, Lake’s greatest pride lay in his role as a father. His son, Kale, was the focal point of his life.
Lake is survived by his beloved son, Kale; siblings Lori Lynn Wright of Sioux City, Lance (Susan) Larson of Sioux City, Lonn (Lori Ann) Larson of Baxter, MN, Linda Larson of Sioux City, Leann Larson of Sioux City, and Leif (Tracy) Larson of Sioux City; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He also leaves behind many friends who will remember him fondly.
Lake is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Sharen Larson, and a brother-in-law, Curt Wright.
