Kristi Lynn Hauge

September 2, 1971 — March 21, 2024

Sioux City, IA

Kristi Lynn Hauge, 52, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. A visitation celebrating Kristi’s life will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, located at 3220 Stone Park Blvd. in Sioux City.

Kristi was born in Sioux City on September 2, 1971 to Donald and Valetta (Trudell) Hauge. She graduated with honors from West High School, class of 1989. She went on to obtain a degree in Graphic Design from Western Iowa Tech in 1991.

She was blessed with five nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to her as “D.” She spent endless time helping them with projects, taking them swimming, attending all of their games and dances, and showering them with love. Great-nephew, Luka, and great-niece, Tenley, would add on to her nickname and call her “Deezer.” Her nicknames by them were all endearing to her. She loved spending time with all of them.

Kristi received her most treasured gift, her dog, Charlie. He was everything to Kristi. Her life revolved around him for the 12 years he was with her.

As fate would have it, Kristi and Dave Carman would meet at a West High School class reunion. Soon after, he became the love of her life. The special bond was only added to by the addition of Dave’s daughter, Avery, who referred to her as Christina Aguilera, which always made her smile. They’ve all enjoyed the last 7 years together.

She will be lovingly remembered by her mom and dad; brother, Steven (Rhonda) Hauge; sister, Stacey (Robert) Tanner; brother, David (Amy) Hauge; nieces and nephews: Stephanie (Andrew) Jindra, Alec (Kate), Gavin, Carter, and Lauren, great-nephew Luka and great-niece Tenley.

She was preceded in death by her Grandpa and Grandma Hauge, Grandpa and Grandma Trudell, and her beloved dog Charlie.

We’re all going to miss her great sense of humor and her million-dollar smile!
