Sioux City, Iowa

Kimberly Ann Jorgensen passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2024 at Unity Point Health Center in Sioux City, Iowa.  A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City with Pastor Catie Newman officiating.  Burial will be at a later date at Graceland Park Cemetery.  Visitation, with the family present, will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Kim was born October 7, 1975 to Dennis and Sandra Jorgensen of Sioux City, Iowa.  She attended Longfellow Elementary School, East Middle, and graduated from East High in 1994.  After graduating high school, she began working at MCI.  She moved to Florida in 2001 to pursue job opportunities with MCI and then moved back to Iowa in 2003.  Kim began working at Allied Solutions in November 2004 where she was still currently employed.

When Kim wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She loved a good BBQ with the family and was always up for a game of Cribbage.  Kim and her dad made a good pair and often defeated the rest of the family.  Kim was an avid reader and enjoyed discussing books with her nieces.  One of her favorite authors was Ann Rice, and she enjoyed romance and dystopian reads.  Concerts and video games were two of Kim’s other passions.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends listening to live music.   She absolutely enjoyed playing video games. Her favorite games involved fantasy role playing.

Those left to remember Kim include her parents Dennis and Sandra; her brothers Steven (Jen) Jorgensen and Todd (Holly) Jorgensen; nieces Addison, Haley, Lauren, and Reagan; nephew Cameron; aunts Kathy (Rod) Peterson and Roxanne Ellis; and many cousins and friends.
