Kenneth E. "Kenny" Viers

Kenneth E. Viers, 86 of Sioux City passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 26, 2024 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Kenny was born the son of Milton and Louise (Austin) Viers on December 2, 1937 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1956. Kenny married Gail Tobias on March 26, 1961. Kenny worked in the baking business for many years. 

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and playing the steel guitar. He was also a wine maker. He loved country music and feeding the birds and squirrels in the backyard.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Gail Viers of Sioux City; children, Steve (Bev) Viers of Papillion, NE and Michille (Brian) Fitzpatrick of Crystal City, MO; grandchildren, Erin (Josh) Tiedgen, Tyler (Kenzie) Viers, Kodee (Dylan) Bieker, Kaytlyn (Kyle) Huber, William Fitzpatrick, and Justin Fitzpatrick; and great-grandchildren, Baylee, Colton, Averianna, and Preston.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene; and great-grandson, Mason F. Tiedgen.
