Kathy Armbright

  Kathy Armbright, 69 of Sioux City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at her home following an extended battle with cancer. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Calvary Cemetery. There will be a fellowship gathering to follow at Sun Valley Golf Course, 2101 Military Rd. in Sioux City.

  Kathy was born on January 12, 1954 in Sioux City, to Charles “Monte” and Luella (Sylvester) Goodnow. She graduated from Heelan High School and went on to complete a radiology tech program through St. Joseph Mercy School of Radiologic Technology in 1976. She worked at Siouxland Radiologic Group following her training, where she worked with the very first CT scanner in Sioux City!

  On October 14, 1977 she married Bob Armbright.

  Kathy was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

  Kathy loved all animals, domestic or wild. She would hand feed wild raccoons and open the door to any felines, her true passion.

  Survivors include her daughter, Meghan Martin (Travis) of Sioux City; sister, Joann Benson of Overland Park, KS; nieces: Lisa Determan (Scott) of Phoenix, AZ, Lori Delorit (Aaron) of Sturgeon Bay, WI, and Amy Myers (Mike) of San Diego, CA.

  She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles “Monte” and Luella Goodnow; and a brother-in-law, John Benson.
