Kathryn L. Wickey

Kathryn Wickey, 82, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020.  Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery.  

Kathryn was born the daughter of Frank and Florence (Erickson) Eckert on June 20, 1937.  She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa.  Kathryn married Charles “Chuck” Wickey on March 31, 1956.  Charles died in 1991. 

Kathryn worked for Morningside College for many years and later for Mercy Hospital for several years. 

She enjoyed doing her yard work, gardening, and entertaining family and friends at her pool. 

Kathryn is survived by her children, Jeff (Ellen) Wickey of Arizona, Kirk Wickey of Washington, and Lisa (Chris) Sorbe of Minnesota; sister, Carolyn Lekan of Kansas; five grandchildren; and extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; brother, Kenny Eckert; and sister, Margaret Johnson.
