Kalin Buck

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Kalin Buck, at the age of 22, while on active duty in the United States Navy. Kalin’s life was tragically cut short while he was on leave at home, surrounded by his loved ones. A celebration of Kalin’s life will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Kalin was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him, known for his infectious energy, his love for fast cars, sitting around a fire and telling stories, and his unbreakable bond with his family. A devoted son, brother, and uncle, Kalin’s love for his siblings and his role as a caring family member was evident in every moment spent together. His dream of becoming an HVAC Technician was a reflection of his desire to build a future, and he had just begun planning the next chapter of his life after his service in the military.

He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory. Kalin is survived by his parents Amber (Stewart) and Jon Martin, sisters, Courtney, Brooke, and Kinsey, his brothers, Chase and Wyatt, two nephews, Braydin and Bayler, his two grandfathers, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

Kalin was preceded in death by his grandparents Louri and Merle Sorensen, his grandmother Audrey Martin, his aunt, Amber Martin, and great-grandparents Sharen and Bernard Stewart all of whom will forever hold a special place in his family's hearts.

Kalin's loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew him. His presence, his laughter, and his dreams for the future will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace, and may his memory live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him most.

He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
