Judy Lynn Bentley, 67 years old, crossed over to heaven on Dec. 10th, 2025

Judy Lynn Bentley was born in Sioux City, Iowa on September 18th, 1958. She was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church. She went to school in Sioux City attending public schools and graduated from West High School. She was a Rainbow Girl in her adolescence. Judy attended college later in life as a non-traditional student going to Morningside University and finished her major at College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating with honors Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science on July 18th, 1997. Prior to college she worked at Interbake Foods and various service jobs. Post graduate she worked at Charles Drew Health clinic in Omaha as a manager, at University of Nebraska Omaha in the research department, and at June E. Nylen Cancer Center of Sioux City as a cancer registrar where she retired from.

Judy loved helping people, and she volunteered at many charities over the years. She was active in the Church volunteering and helping people in general. She was a true humanitarian going above and beyond to help others in need.

Judy loved animals. She was privileged to have several dogs over her lifetime and cherished their companionship and treated them as family. Patches, a rat terrier, was the latest of her pets. Judy adored her, as she did with all her pets.

Judy helped raise two stepchildren while she lived at McCook Lake in South Dakota. Molly and P.J. Murphy.

Judy loved to shop and was always on the hunt for a good bargain. Her siblings enjoyed many shopping outings with Judy. Judy and siblings were able to vacation together in such spots as Loess Hills Hideaway and The Black Hills, creating many fond memories.

Judy’s hobbies included shopping, hunting for treasures at thrift shops, and reading. She enjoyed going for walks and being outside. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Those left to honor her memory include sister Terri Jo (Todd) Wheelock of Sioux City; brother Bradley Bentley of Sioux City; niece Jessica Strom of Sioux City; niece Angie (Travis) Hamman of Sioux City, and niece Hannah Wheelock of Omaha. Great niece and nephews; Elexis, Austin, Joel, Beau and Dane.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joanne Jimmie (Hills) and Terry Gene Bentley, brother Robert Tim Bentley, sister Linda Jean Bentley, Patrick Murphy of Sioux City, Grandparents.
