Joshua Allen McCaslen, 41 of Anthon passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023. A visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. A military graveside service will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Calvary Cemetery.
Josh was born the son of Marty McCaslen and Peggy Sands on July 2, 1981 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from East High School in 2000 and then started his military career with the Iowa Air National Guard. Josh married Desiree Kvidera on September 20, 2003. To this union three sons were born, Paxton, Kambal, and Garrett. They later divorced. He later married Tonya McCoy on December 10, 2022. They made their home in Anthon. Josh honorably served at the 185th Air Refueling Wing until his retirement in 2018. Josh loved his country and his military family very much. He currently worked as a fuel handling tech for Mid-American Energy.
Josh enjoyed spending time with his children and family. He liked fishing, boating, golfing, and playing pool. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears fan.

Josh is survived by his wife, Tonya McCaslen of Anthon; children, Paxton, Kambal, and Garrett McCaslen of Sioux City; parents, Marty and Stephanie McCaslen of Sioux City; siblings, Aubrey (Jeb) McCaslen-Hibbs, Justin (Ching) McCaslen, James (Tabitha) McCaslen, and Jasmine McCaslen; step-children, Adrianna McCoy, Haley (Alex Johnson) Willmeno, Herbie Willmeno, and Allen Chandler, step-grandchildren, Brooklyn McCoy, Ava Willmeno, and Hayden and Amelia Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy.
