Joseph "Joe" Lee Preston, 42, passed away on May 27, 2026, at his residence after enduring health issues. Abiding by family's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Joe was born July 8, 1983, in Sioux City, IA to Joseph Warren Preston and Hollilea (Patterson) Rogers.

After graduating High School, Joe started his career which was centered around working with the public, a fitting path for someone who naturally put others at ease. He was known to have an easy-going nature and was always laughing.

Joe married the love of his life, Jennifer, on August 8, 2014, in Las Vegas, NV.

Joe had a love for the outdoors, especially camping with his wife, which he cherished deeply. His passion for life extended to his many hobbies and interests: he was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and diving, and he had a special fondness for the month of July, particularly the celebrations surrounding the 4th of July.

Beyond his outdoor interests, Joe was proud of his accomplishments as a black belt in martial arts. He took great pride in smoking various types of meats and grilling with friends.

He is survived by his mother, Holli Rogers, his stepfather, Mike Palmer, and his sisters, Georgeina Amerine and Sara Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennifer Preston.
