Obituary

JoLynn Rae Logsdon, 68, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at a Sioux City hospital. A Celebration of Life for JoLynn will be on November 7, 2026, at the American Legion (901 Topaz Dr., Sergeant Bluff, IA) from 1 pm to 4 pm. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

JoLynn Rae, the daughter of Richard and Maureen (Martin) Schult, was born on February 26, 1958, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During her childhood, her family relocated several times due to her father's employment, living in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Des Moines, Iowa, before eventually settling in Sioux City. JoLynn graduated from North High School in Sioux City.

Much of JoLynn's working life was spent in the restaurant industry. She began working as a teenager at Sambo's in Sioux City and continued there after graduating from high school. She later joined Pizza Hut, where she eventually became a manager. It was during her time at Pizza Hut in 1981 that she met Conrad A. Logsdon. What began as a 15-year friendship grew into a loving relationship, and the two were married in August of 1996. JoLynn went on to manage a Domino's Pizza before pursuing other interests as a flea market owner. In more recent years, she worked at Popeye's.

Above all else, JoLynn's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. She was a loving mother to Jason, and together with Conrad, welcomed Alisha and Justin into their family through adoption. JoLynn had a caring and generous heart, and she never hesitated to invest her time, love, and attention in the lives of those around her. She treasured her family and friends, always making them a priority. Family was truly the cornerstone of her life.

JoLynn enjoyed flea marketing, rummaging, creating diamond art, knitting, and attending craft fairs.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Conrad; her children, Jason (Whitney) Blackwell, Alisha Logsdon, and Justin Logsdon; two grandchildren; great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Maureen Schult.
