John G. Rector

John G. Rector, 75, of Sioux City passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024, at his residence.

Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life in Wisconsin is planned for a later date.

John was born August 25, 1948, in Tomah, Wisconsin, the son of Morris and Gladys Rector.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree.  

John was an accountant for Terra Corporation, where he worked for many years before retirement.

He enjoyed genealogy and any type of puzzle.

Survivors include his daughters:  Bricelyn Carlson of Sioux City and Braelie Peterson of Akron, IA; six grandchildren, and four siblings:  Merrit, Jan, Susan, and Merrylin.

John was preceded in death by his parents.
