John Allen Fader

John Allen Fader, 51, of South Sioux City passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at a local hospital.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 12, 2022 at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City with Reverend David Halaas officiating.  Visitation with the family present will be Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service officiated by Reverend Scott Brown at the church.  Burial will be at Dakota City Cemetery.  Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

John was born March 28, 1971 in Sioux City, the son of Harold Allen Fader Jr. and Elaine (Popken) Fader.  He graduated from South Sioux City High School.  John worked for Stapleton Towing.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and spending time at the racetrack and demolition derby in his younger years.  The family created many memories on their trips to Indiana and John loved spending time with his family and beloved dogs. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his mother Elaine Fader of South Sioux City; sons:  Lucas Fader of Omaha, NE and Tyler Fader of South Sioux City; sister Julie and husband Reverend Scott Brown of Seymour, IN; nephew Ryan and wife Suz Brown and their sons:  Lane and Logan; nephew Aaron and wife Ann Carol Brown and their son Bensen; niece Abbie and husband Spencer Kindred and their son Dean; and nephew Evan and wife Clara Brown; and his three beloved dogs:  Lacey, Mindy, and Daisy.

John was preceded in death by his father Harold Allen Fader Jr.
